Rear Entrance to Highlands Apartments
The Highlands Apartments are located in a sought-after conservation area and stand in lush landscaped gardens.
Lobby
I dressed the lobby with Blake leather armchairs and Swarovski crystal chandeliers, and used deep earthy colours to make it warm and welcoming.
Lounge
This stunning residents’ lounge was a joy to design. The walls were decorated using a mix of luscious cream paint and damask print wallpaper, and I dressed the large windows with heavy silk. I wanted the seating to be comfy and classic so I chose Duresta sandstone chenille sofas and added some Wade occasional chairs.
Library/Lounge
The luxury red carpet connects the open plan library and lounge, but each room also has its distinct characteristics. A superb marble fireplace was installed to give the lounge a striking focal point; while the library’s hand-made walnut furniture and Chesterfield style sofas were chosen to add stately character.
Library
The Library is used for relaxation and entertainment as well as reading, so I wanted multi-functional but elegant furniture. The best way to achieve my vision was to design several hand-made pieces: a large bookcase, a leather-top games table and leather padded chairs to match the sofas. I’m very pleased with the results.
Staircase
This beautiful oak staircase is one of Highlands’ many handsome features.
