About Great Homes
Great Homes Ltd is an award-winning developer with an excellent reputation for
producing quality family homes, retirement apartments and commercial properties
throughout Essex and Kent.
Brief
I was commissioned to provide the professional interior design services on the recent
Great Homes Highlands Project. This high calibre property development comprises
23 luxury apartments designed for people over 60 years.
My brief was to:
- Design the interiors of the one bedroom and two bedroom
show flats and the communal lobby, lounge and library
- Use traditional décor with a modern twist
- Create a homely, comfortable environment
- Produce appropriate and tasteful colour schemes
- Source practical and elegant furniture
- Make good use of lighting
- Achieve the feel of a superior country home

I worked on this project over a seven-month period.

One Bedroom Flat
I created a cosy, sophisticated look by using neutral colours, sourcing well-made furniture and dressing each room with attractive accessories.

I opted for slightly earthier tones to complement the natural light that seeps into this flat and to work with the furnishings, fixtures and fittings.

This large communal room, which is at the heart of the development, was lovingly designed to be functional, comfortable and highly desirable.
