Baby's Bedroom

Baby's Bedroom
Designing this petite but bijou bedroom for baby Daisy was a real pleasure. I chose white washed furniture to open up the space and reflect the light and mottled beige wallpaper with a bright border to add a dash of colour. The three-arm ceiling light is practical and fun, and the small sheepskin rug gives Daisy plenty of tactile pleasure when crawling around.

I made great use of the space in this room by fitting in a single wardrobe and a chest of drawers with a nappy-changing top on one side, a cot bed along the opposite wall and a handy toy box, which sits comfortably under the window. The black-out blinds and simple cotton curtains both look great and block out extra light during daytime naps.
Baby's Bedroom
I bought some lovely accessories from the ‘Meadow’ range at Mamas & Papas and a wall-mounted shelving unit, which is ideal for those treasured toys and special knick-knacks. But the best thing about the design of this room is its flexibility. It appeals to an infant without being too baby-like, so Daisy can enjoy several years in her newly decorated bedroom.
