Three rooms were knocked into one to create this spacious and modern living area. The walls were stripped of wallpaper, plastered and painted light taupe, and I decided on a solid oak floor, laminated oak skirting and oak slatted blinds to match. I chose brown leather sofas to complement this room’s clean lines and warm tones, and avoided unnecessary additional furniture by adding shelves in the middle reception room and in the alcove next to the fireplace.
