Toddler's Bedroom
This bedroom’s design and décor is based on its attractive white washed, light oak furniture, which needed to be practical and hard-wearing as well as good-looking. The layout of Lili’s room gives her parents easy access to her bed at night, without having to turn the light on, and the wardrobe, chest of drawers, wall-mounted draws and toy box provide ample storage.

I wanted this room to have a fresh feel, so I went for lemon walls with a border comprising subtle shades of green, orange and yellow. I kept the window dressings plain to maintain this look and chose a wooden curtain pole to tie in with the furniture. But I also gave Lili’s bedroom real sparkle by adding beautiful crystal tie-backs and a fabulous chandelier.

Accessorising a room well can really add character and bring the various elements together. I had fun selecting colourful pieces such as a height chart, laundry bag and kids’ stool. But it was also important for me to consult with Lili and to let her add her own touches so this room would reflect her personality and charm.
